What a success!!

THANK YOU to everyone for a wonderful Softball Tournament!! What a beautiful day - perfect weather, great sportsmanship, tons of spectators cheering, and a awesome fundraiser!!

Today's Stats:

• $15,700 raised to support the Orphan Care Projects in Malawi!!
• 15 teams played - over 165 players
• many, many families and friends came to cheer on teams

Team Sponsors

Are you and a group of friends thinking about organizing a team? Most of our teams have a business sponsor: this sponsor is paying the $500 team registration fee in exchange for recognition in a team name or team t-shirts!

This also allows your team memebers to focus on getting individual sponsors, as this is how we'll raise a good amount to support the Orphan Care program in Malawi.

How you can get involved:

•Be a team leader – put together a team of softball players (9-11 people)
•Play on a team - have some fun, and collect sponsors
•Be a volunteer – support the event by giving of your time to help plan the event
•Corporate Sponsors – we’re looking for businesses to sponsor the event, to help offset costs and raise money for the projects in Malawi
•Sponsor – give a donation to support the work in Malawi
•Cheer on the players at the tournament!

We are raising fund specifically for Word & Deed's Malawi Orphan Care Projects. Malawi is a country in Southern Africa with a population of nearly 14 million people; approximately 1 million of them suffer from AIDS; this disease has left nearly 1 million orphans in the country. The Orphan Care projects support the basic physical and spiritual needs of many of these orphans. The orphans are placed in Christian caregiver homes, attend school and receive food, clothes and Biblical lessons. Help us make a life-changing difference in the lives of these orphans!
